CarePoint has been providing software tools and solutions to the full range of pharmacy types for over 19 years. Our clients include Retail, Hospital, Assisted Living, Hospice, and Order Management pharmacies, as well as Community Clinics and Correctional Facilities, throughout the United States. We are currently looking to add experienced and entry level Software Programmer/Developers to our team in our Charleston, SC office.
Desired Skills & Experience
- 2+ years experience in SQL database design and development or educational equivalent.
- Basic understanding of HL7 messaging, X.12 EDI, and TCP/IP protocols.
- Knowledge of HTML and web services design and implementation.
- Analyze client business requirements to determine appropriate technology solutions.
- Develop standard and custom reports for clients.
- Capable of interacting with technical and non-technical departments and clients.
- Detail oriented with strong attention to follow through.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Bonus Skills and Experience:
Experience or exposure to pharmacy operations and/or systems.
This important position is located in downtown Charleston, SC. We are NOT looking for outside companies or contractors – this is a full time position.

Pharmacy System Support Specialist
A help desk analyst is needed to provide application and technical support to multiple customer types by understanding their systems and procedures to ensure timely resolution and to minimize service interruptions.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Ability to provide end user support, testing, training,
- Well-spoken and able to demonstrate exceptional customer service via phone and email
- Travel onsite to assist customer with support and/or training as needed
- Enter ticket information into the required tracking system with appropriate follow-up and ownership of the ticket.
- Position involves knowledge of computer networking, server to workstation topologies, and connectivity issues.
- Software support and training experience preferred.
- Familiarity with common application programs (i.e. MS Windows, MS Office, Adobe, Outlook, and IE)
- Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks.
- Must be able to work well within a team environment as support issues are handled on a 24/7 basis with after hours and weekend call rotation.
- Basic knowledge of pharmacy business processes a plus.
- Knowledge of SQL Server a plus.
