Requirements for the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA)
In relation to enforcement of the new product tracking requirements under the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA), pharmacists must receive and store transaction information, transaction history, and transaction statements for drug products at the lot level from wholesale distributors by November 1, 2015.
Here’s What You Need to Know:
1. Tracking Lots
GuardianRx has the ability to track Lots at the inventory item record.
2. Require Lots
As an option, you can require a lot on each prescription if you are utilizing Dispense Verify.
3. Reporting Lots
If you are tracking Lots, you can now use the Custom Recall Report to find prescriptions with Lots in a specific date range.
For full instructions on running this report, you can download our guide HERE, or contact CarePoint Support for more information.
